Degree Completion and Graduation

Congratulations! The end is in sight, and the beginning. If you remain uncertain about your career placement after graduation, make an appointment with Bryan Kempton, in the Public Policy Career Center.

You will need to file some paperwork to graduate. Deadlines for graduate degrees are posted at www.gradschool.umd.edu/deadlines.

If you are graduating in December, you have

• an early September deadline to submit your online Application for Graduation
• an early October deadline to submit an Approved Program Form (for non-thesis students) to the Office of the Registrar, and
• an early December deadline to submit Certification of Master's Degree Without Thesis to the Office of the Registrar.

If you are graduating in May, you have

• an early February deadline to submit your online Application for Graduation
• an early March deadline to submit an Approved Program Form (for non-thesis students) to the Office of the Registrar, and
• an early May deadline to submit Certification of Master's Degree Without Thesis to the Office of the Registrar.
